Some components of our older CDs, such as Self Tutor, required Rosetta to function correctly on Macs. OS X Lion no longer supports Rosetta and as a result of this, some of our CDs no longer function correctly.
We have produced new CDs for MYP 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 5+ which are compatible with OS X Lion. These are supplied in the 2011 reprints. If you wish to obtain a 2011 reprint version of the CD, you can either contact your school if they supplied you with the book, or contact us directly at info@haesemathematics.com.au. The replacement CD is free, but will incur a small postage fee.
Due to developmental restrictions on the iPad, all of our interactive software is not compatible. An electronic version of the textbook is available which can be viewed on the iPad, but this will serve as a textbook replacement only (no software will be available).
If you are interested in obtaining electronic licences for your school, please contact us at info@haesemathematics.com.au for pricing information.
Some versions of Adobe Reader, such as 9.3.3, 9.3.4, and 10.1.2, forbid the use of external links, which can cause users to get an error such as:
The official download site for Adobe Reader version 10.1.1 is:
For Windows: ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/10.x/10.1.1/en_US/AdbeRdr1011_en_US.exe For Macintosh: ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/mac/10.x/10.1.1/en_US/AdbeRdr1011_en_US.dmg
Once the previous version of Adobe Reader is installed you may want to disable automatic updates. The settings regarding updates can be found in Preferences option of the Edit menu. Once in the preferences dialog the Updater tab will be at the bottom. Ensure this is not set to "Automatically download and install updates". It may be best to set this to "Do not download or install updates". Note: Users running a later version of adobe reader must first uninstall their current version before installing version 10.1.1
Currently INFINITY: Test and Homework Generator is only available for Windows. A cross platform version is currently under development, although we are unable to provide a release date.
The sound does work if the worked example is launched from the pdf for the book. It will also work if the example is launched directly from the directory contents\tutor\Demos on the CD.
However, depending on the operating system, a dll file may be required for sound to work
through the Self Tutor application.
If you need to use this application with sound,
you may do so by following the instructions below:
