International Baccalaureate (IB)

The International Baccalaureate (IB) offers a series of programmes aimed at providing an internationally recognised qualification for students around the world.

We have recently released new editions of our textbooks for the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP), aimed at students aged 11-16 (approximately grades 6-10). We also have current textbooks for the IB Diploma Programme (DP), aimed at students aged 16-19, for the final two years of high school.

We have taken great care with the layout of these textbooks. The chapters are organised in a logical progression, with important information and key notes highlighted, while worked examples provide step-by-step instructions with concise and relevant explanations. Each book has been written with the knowledge that English may not be the student’s first language. Discussions, Activities, Investigations, Puzzles, and Research exercises are used throughout the chapters to develop understanding, problem solving, and reasoning, within an interactive environment.

Testimonials

"Having worked examples with tutorials greatly assist the students. Investigations are a good starting point for discussion and to the unit. It allows the students to discover the mathematics on their own and gain a stronger understanding of “why” the mathematics is used."

“I am totally convinced that your publications use language that is by far the most student friendly, especially for our ESOL (ELL) population which is growing by leaps and bounds each day”

Mathematics for the International Student (IB Diploma Programme)

This series of books has been written for the final two years of high school. There are four courses to choose from: Mathematical Studies SL, Mathematics SL, Mathematics HL, and Further Mathematics HL.

Students studying Mathematics HL must also choose to study one of four possible Option topics. These students will require the Mathematics HL (Core) textbook, and one of the Mathematics HL (Option) textbooks.

Further Mathematics HL is usually studied in conjunction with Mathematics HL, and consists of all of the Mathematics HL Option topics, as well as two additional topics. These options and Further Mathematics topics are available as a bundle for Further Mathematics HL students.

The textbooks for Mathematical Studies SL, Mathematics SL, and Mathematics HL (Core), each have a corresponding worked solutions book and an exam preparation and practice guide.
