Australian Curriculum

The Australian curriculum sets consistent national standards to improve learning outcomes for all young Australians. It sets out, through content descriptions and achievement standards, what students should be taught and achieve, as they progress through school.

Our “Mathematics for Australia” series has been designed and written for the Australian Curriculum. We have released textbooks for Years 5 to 10 of the Australian Curriculum, with a Year 4 textbook currently in production. We are also producing textbooks for the Senior Secondary Curriculum, which is for students in Years 11 and 12.

We have taken great care with the layout of these textbooks. The chapters are organised in a logical progression, with important information and key notes highlighted, while worked examples provide step-by-step instructions with concise and relevant explanations. Discussions, Activities, Investigations, Puzzles, and Research exercises are used throughout the chapters to develop understanding, problem solving, and reasoning, within an interactive environment.

Mathematics for Australia F-10

The Australian Curriculum for Mathematics up to Year 10 was endorsed by Federal, State, and Territory Education Ministers in December 2010.

We have produced a textbook for each year from Year 5 to Year 9, and two textbooks (10 and 10A) for Year 10.  The 10A textbook contains some advanced content for more able students. Students looking to study the more rigorous mathematics courses in Years 11 and 12 would benefit from studying the 10A content.

A Year 4 textbook is currently in production.

These books have been carefully written to address all of the content descriptions outlined in the Australian Curriculum. The cross-curriculum priorities of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures, Asia and Australia’s engagement with Asia, and Sustainability, have been embedded into the textbooks where appropriate.

Mathematics for Australia 11-12

We are currently producing a series of textbooks for the “Mathematics for Australia” Senior Secondary Curriculum, for students in Years 11 and 12. There are four courses to choose from : Specialist Mathematics, Mathematical Methods, General Mathematics, and Essential Mathematics.

The books will address the content outlined in the ACARA Australian Senior Secondary Curriculum, as well as the SACE Stage 1 and 2 subject outlines. Chapter summaries are available on each book's webpage. The books will progress logically from our Years 5-10A series of Australian Curriculum textbooks.
